It is your responsibility to periodically review these Terms to stay informed of any modifications. Continued use of The Website following the posting of changes shall constitute your acceptance of such changes.

IV. Use of Services

A. Eligibility

To utilise The Website, you must be a minimum of 18 years of age or have reached the legal age of majority within your jurisdiction.

B. Registration and Multi-Factor Authentication

Certain services on The Website may necessitate user registration. You consent to furnish accurate, up-to-date, and complete information during the registration process and undertake to maintain the accuracy, currency, and completeness of such information.

Mandatory Multi-Factor Authentication: All users of The Website are required to enable and maintain multi-factor authentication (MFA) on their accounts. This security measure is mandatory and non-negotiable for all users, regardless of account type or subscription level. Failure to enable MFA may result in restricted access to certain features or complete suspension of your account.

Account Recovery Process: In the event that you cannot prove access to your account through standard authentication methods, we provide a security code as a backup measure. Upon request for account recovery, we will send an email to your registered email address requesting proof of government-issued identification or documentation. This verification process is necessary to ensure the security of your account and to prevent unauthorised access. You acknowledge and consent to this recovery process as a condition of using our services.

C. Mandatory Identity Verification

All users of The Website are required to complete identity verification through our designated third-party identity verification provider, iDenfy (company registration number 304617621, registered address: Barsausko g. 59, LT-51423, Kaunas, Lithuania). This verification process is mandatory for all users and serves as a fundamental security measure to:

(a) Ensure compliance with anti-fraud regulations and industry standards;

(b) Establish the authenticity, authority, and legal standing of verification certificates and recognition certificates issued through our platform;

(c) Implement comprehensive safeguarding procedures to protect both users and the integrity of our services;

(d) Meet regulatory requirements for digital identity verification in accordance with applicable data protection laws;

(e) Provide an additional layer of authenticity and authority that enhances the credibility and legal weight of all certificates issued through our platform;

(f) Establish a robust foundation for certificate authority that meets industry standards for digital verification and recognition services.

By using our services, you expressly consent to the collection, processing, and verification of your identity information by iDenfy in accordance with their Terms of Use (available at: https://www.idenfy.com/terms-and-conditions.pdf) and Privacy Policy (available at: https://www.idenfy.com/privacy-policy/). You acknowledge that this verification process may include, but is not limited to, the collection of government-issued identification documents, biometric data, and other personal information necessary for identity verification.

The identity verification process provides an essential foundation for the issuance of verification certificates and recognition certificates, ensuring that each certificate carries the full weight of authenticated identity verification. This additional layer of authenticity and authority serves to:

- Establish the legal standing and credibility of all certificates issued through our platform;

- Provide third parties with confidence in the authenticity of certificate holders;

- Meet industry standards for digital certificate authority and recognition services;

- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for authenticated digital verification;

- Create a robust framework for certificate validation and trust establishment.

Failure to complete the identity verification process may result in restricted access to certain features or complete suspension of your account. The Company reserves the right to require re-verification at any time for security or compliance purposes.

Data Usage Restrictions for Identity Verification: You acknowledge and agree that all personal data collected during the identity verification process, including but not limited to government-issued identification documents, biometric data, and other personal information processed by iDenfy, shall be used exclusively for the purpose of user registration, account verification, and maintaining the security and integrity of our services. The Company explicitly warrants that such identity verification data will never be used for training artificial intelligence models, machine learning algorithms, or any form of data analytics beyond the specific verification purposes outlined herein. This restriction applies to all data collected through the iDenfy verification process and extends to any third-party processing of such data on behalf of the Company.

Data Storage and Retention Policy: All personally identifiable information (PII) collected during the identity verification process is stored exclusively by our trusted partner iDenfy, a SOC2 Type 2 compliant company that maintains the highest standards of data security and privacy protection. ScoreDetect does not store any ID verification PII on our systems. We retain only a secure scan ID reference that links to the verification status without containing any personal data. Upon termination of your account with ScoreDetect, all associated scan ID references will be permanently deleted from our systems, and you may request the deletion of your verification data from iDenfy in accordance with their data retention policies and applicable data protection regulations.

D. User Content

The Website does not retain any files or textual content during the upload process for certificate creation. Instead, the uploaded material or text is promptly subjected to hashing through a military-grade SHA256 checksum employing the ScoreDetect API. The generated checksum, along with additional information necessary for further evidence of public verification to the certificate, may be added to the blockchain. This information may or may not include personally-identifiable information, which the service will explicitly require confirmation before proceeding.
